I love shopping at Target! There was a time that I worked next door to our local Target, and found myself traipsing over there up to three times a day (before work for Starbucks, on break for lunch, and after work for anything else I may need.) Since then, I've switched jobs, and opened my mind to more conscious consumerism. So, I don't find myself over there quite as much, but still...I'm the mayor on foursquare. (I've been ousted.) While I'd always suggest buying local, and fair trade, sometimes a Target run is necessary. Target adapts an ethical sourcing policy, and has been named World's Most Ethical Company in the General Retailer category several times. So, if you're hitting up...
A fun fact about me: jewelry was not the first accessory I started designing. Back in 2004 I was fresh out of 8th grade, and I was 100% sure that someday I would be a fashion designer. Of course, my patience did not allow me to wait to learn to sew. I took my graduation money, and headed to Sears for a brand new sewing machine, and I taught myself. After about my Sophomore year of high school I had definitely slowed down with the sewing (and eventually discovered my love of jewelry design,) but I have always hoped to pick...
Yesterday my family and I took a trip to the Pumpkin patch for my niece Joss's 18 month birthday photos. I was able to convince Casey to score some shots of Maria wearing the Delightfully Charming Swoop necklace. She styled it with a neutral V-neck, which I think is perfect for such a colorful necklace. I especially loved the fall colors against the corn in the background, a perfect fall scene.
How would you style the Swoop necklace?
I hope by now, you had a chance to see the new collection, Delightfully Charming. I also hope that you love it as much as I do, but I dunno...I really love it. Anyways, the release of the Delightfully Charming collection is a bigger deal than you may think. You see, over here at Peerless Charm two major events were going on at once. A new ethically sourced collection was released, and two of our oldest collections were retired (and by oldest I mean from back before I was all aware and what not.) So...we are now 100% ethically sourced!
Let's all take this moment to happy dance!
